About Us

Founded in 1993, The Finnish Vegan Association (Vegaaniliitto ry) is an organization advancing plant-based eating and veganism – a way of life in which all wholly or partially animal-based products, as well as services involving animal exploitation, are avoided on ethical, ecological and/or health grounds.

Our work includes providing information on our website and through publications, speaking out on current issues, as well as making expert, science-based nutritional advice available to everyone. We reach out to consumers and decision makers by organizing events, taking on an expert role in public discussion as well as working in various ways to make veganism an easy and normal part of people’s everyday lives.

See the rules of The Finnish Vegan Association and support us by becoming a member. Check out our member benefits here. You can also become a volunteer if you want to dedicate your time to the wellbeing of animals, the environment, and people!
